Costa’s Garden Odyssey is a ground breaking magazine style series that allows this unique Greek Garden Guru an opportunity to do what he does best – spread his green wisdom while communicating with people and celebrating cultures and community in a way never seen before on Australian television.

Costa’s Garden Odyssey shows us how to tread lightly – embracing nature’s cycles and seasons, investigating and championing local produce from it’s source, and illustrating that in gardens, plants aren’t the only things that grow… people do to.


Episode 1
The Greek garden guru discovers the vibrant Northey Street City Farm, a community garden in Brisbane's CBD. Helps his father with a citrus garden, and revels in the watermelon festival of Chinchilla.

Episode 2
Costa visits a garden healing a fractured community in Sydney’s Macquarie Fields. Then completes his drainage solution at Water Works, visits a Heritage Apple Festival, and discovers Eco Therapy.

Episode 3
Costa explores the sustainable backyard revolution that is Permablitz. Visionary Humberto Urriola explains his dream for greening our cities, and Costa gives the top tips before putting in a water tank.

Episode 4
Costa explores the ‘united nations’ of community gardens at Riverwood in Sydney’s west. Then takes a look at drainage cells on concrete, visits Diggers Seeds in Victoria, and experiences Indigenous culture.

Episode 5
Collingwood Children's Farm in Melbourne gives the secret to 'worm juice'. Costa helps the Preston family be water efficient, then joins over 3000 plant enthusiasts at Bilpin Collectors Plant Fair.

Episode 6
Costa meets with children from a Cabramatta public school. Then takes a road trip to Rylestone to learn Biodynamics first hand, also Mina Zheng takes us to a place of harmony in the Zen Shed.

Episode 7
Costa visits The Mamre Project teaching sustainability and nutrition. Helps special needs kids from the Hills School by solving their water issues. And uncovers the crucial role of bees in the eco system.

Episode 8
Venture inside the Sydney Flower market this week with Costa. Plus meet Alley Rutherford to find the recipe for the perfect compost. Then take a look at the innovative products at the Tocal field day.

Episode 9
Is your house making you sick? Costa looks at the health concerns of damp around your house. Plus expert chicken fancier Jill Cockram gives the essential guide to chicken keeping.

Episode 10
Costa visits the Blue Mountains Community Garden finding a place where gardens and art meet, then looks at a unique farming practice in the Hunter Valley.
