October 24th 2009.

Tino Carnevale prepares garden beds and plants 'Pink Eye' potatoes and root crops including carrots, parsnips and radishes. Stephen Ryan updates The Veggie Guide, a comprehensive outline of what to plant in the veggie garden, right around the country and Jerry Coleby-Williams explains the science behind soil, how it affects the plants we grow and what to do to improve it. Also, Angus Stewart looks at the amazing range of species in the daisy family and explains why they are some of our best loved plants as well as some of our worst weeds, while Jane Edmanson visits a development in the central Victorian town of Castlemaine that was designed and planted with local plants, to blend into the surrounding landscape.
