In our final visit to Longmeadow this year, Monty gives advice on the plants that need winter protection and thinks ahead to colourful spring bouquets by planting bulbs in the cutting garden. He also pays a visit to a garden that has been 40 years in the making, at the home of Lord and Lady Heseltine. The glory of summer may be over in most gardens but Carol goes to Worcestershire in search of some autumn colour, in a garden designed to reach its peak of flowering right now, and Alan Power spends a day in the gardens of Mount Stewart near Belfast to see how they are using historical archive to restore parts of the garden.
