In the company of gardening expert Alan Titchmarsh, here is a chance to savour the genius of Lancelot 'Capability' Brown.
Lancelot 'Capability' Brown - the 18th century landscape artist whose legacy includes the gardens and grounds of both Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire and the magnificent Chatsworth in Derbyshire. There is the famous lakeside Rhododendron Walk at Harewood House in Yorkshire, the ancient woodland treasures of Castle Howard nearby, and the riverside delights of the Beaulieu Estate in Hampshire. Alan also visits the unforgettable deer-filled setting of Woburn Abbey in Bedfordshire and the stunning Peacock and Rose Gardens of Warwick Castle, on the banks of Shakespeare's Avon.
This DVD also includes Wilton House near Salisbury, whose beautifully landscaped parkland centres on the majestic Palladian Bridge, the romantic Leeds Castle in Kent, with its watery setting and traditional English gardens, and Wiltshire's famous Longleat - home to one of the country's best established wildlife parks.
