Guest presenter Steven Wells visits a sensory garden where the owner regularly welcomes children from a nearby specialist school to come for a play, and meet ceramic artist, Dr Cathy Franzi who uses plants as the inspiration for her work.

Darren and Lesley Chan's youngest daughter Amelie was born with Charge syndrome - a debilitating genetic condition that has left her deaf, partially sighted and in need of constant care. Alan Titchmarsh sets out to transform the Manchester family's neglected outdoor space, calling in David Domoney, Frances Tophill and Katie Rushworth to introduce sensory planting for the 10-year-old, a shade-loving border and a multifunction pathway made from areas of decking, artificial turf and paving.

Amid the bare concrete of inner-city Sydney, Costa Georgiadis meets a generous footpath gardener who is supplying the neighbourhood with herbs, as well as being a community garden dynamo, Sophie Thomson travels to Melbourne to meet one of her heroes, Diggers Garden Club founder Clive Blazey, and sees the new garden he has created at his inner-city home, and Coleby-Williams turns up the heat on his marauding possums. Also Josh Byrne puts the finishing touches to his greenhouse project by enclosing the frame with high-tech cladding and shade cloth, Tino Carnevale shows how to build a home-made sieve and Jane looks at a range of plants that add perfume to the garden with their fragrant foliage.

Josh Byrne visits a stormwater reservoir that has been transformed from a weed-ridden, fenced off eyesore to a native plant haven where neighbours can play and walk and Jane Edmanson demonstrates how to make manure tea for your plants.

Guest presenter Steven Wells shows one of his earliest garden designs, where he first combined his work as a nurse and gardener to become a horticultural therapist while Josh is planting two dwarf variety red flowering gums in his garden and gives tips on how to give these natives the best start in life.
