Joe is constructing a water feature for the courtyard garden, while Sarah looks at tomato plants - the best varieties and where to plant them. Special guest Bill Oddie joins Monty to discuss ways of making the space at Berryfields more 'wildlife friendly'.

It's show time, as the RHS hosts its twelfth flower show from Cheshire's prestigious Tatton Park. Presenters Toby Buckland, Carol Klein and Joe Swift soak up the celebrations with a look at the northern show garden designers and floral marquee exhibitors that make the event unique. Toby meets controversial designer Tony Smith who has brought his own alien to Tatton this year. Cumbrian grower Chris Benson explains why his lace-cap hydrangeas have an exclusive outing to the event every year. The event is also hosting Eurofleur, the Eurovision of competitive floristry, and we discover if British entrant Joseph Massie has managed to beat his European counterparts to the title. There is also a chance to see a burst of regional pride as the UK's parks departments go head to head in the annual flower bed competition.

Also in this episode Tino makes a vertical garden out of a recycled pallet that anyone can recreate in a small or large space and Jerry visits the CSIRO in Brisbane to see how the building has been designed to bring the garden into the workplace.

Rachel de Thame seeks out intoxicating scents on a visit to RHS Harlow Carr, where there are fabulous displays of philadelphus, night-scented stocks and fragrant sweet peas. Carol Klein returns to her native Lancashire to discover aromatic roses thriving in the wild. She also visits Dutton Hall in the Ribble Valley which has a collection of over 200 species of garden roses.
