October 7th 2005.
October has arrived and in many ways its a melancholy time - Summer has gone and there's a winter ahead to prepare for. However, October is a lovely month with still beautiful days, many fruits at their best and the leaves starting to change colour. Its also a busy time - the more work you can get done in October, the better the garden will look next spring and summer.
Monty takes stock of the fruit at Berryfields, Carol spends time in the long borders lifting, dividing and replanting, and Joe does his best to prepare the lawns for the coming winter.
I’m forming a bit of a list here, but a re-up in your own time would be good.
I have plenty of episodes to watch in the mean time.:)
