John Patrick updates us on what’s been happening at his plot over summer. He checks his tomatoes, sows some Asian greens and compares bean-growing notes with another member, Bill. Leonie Norrington visits a couple who have transformed their steep and rocky suburban block into a lush classical garden. Terracing and retaining walls underpin meandering pathways, water features and a variety of colour themed gardens, while Sophie Thomson visits a garden in the Adelaide Hills which is in the process of planting out all the species documented on Matthew Flinders’ voyage of discovery in 1801.
